🌅 Dawn of Time – v1.5.18 (Forge 1.20.1)

Major Update – Optimization, Bug Fixes & Feature Separation

Removed Content:

• Plants & Wild Versions: Boxwood, Camellia, Commelina, Cypress, Geranium, Grapes, Ivy, Maize, Maple Sapling, Mulberry, Rice
• Silk Feature: Silk Moth entity, Drying Tray block, Stick Bundle block, Silk + all related items
• Potted Plants: Camellia, Commelina, Cypress, Geranium, Grapes, Maize, Maple Sapling, Mulberry
• Configuration System: Removed dependency on Yet Another Config (no config required anymore)

All these features will now be available in a new dedicated Plants mod, separated from Dawn of Time. This mod is going to be soon released.

Technical Changes & Fixes:

• Blockstate Optimization: ~60,000 blockstates removed (pergola, beam, lattice) → 50% less memory usage.
• Compatibility Restored: the mod is now fully compatible with Woodgood, even on low-end setups.

Bug Fixes:

• Crashes related to Ivy (ticking issues) → fixed.
• Crashes related to SoilCropsBlock → fixed.
• Crashes related to entities (Silk Moth rotations, etc.) → fixed.
• Crashes related to worldgen or biome incompatibility → fixed.

Refocus of the Mod: Dawn of Time is now focused on cultural blocks, architecture, and furniture, without the extra gardening/plant systems.

In short: this update splits plant/gardening features into a dedicated mod, cuts memory load in half, fixes major crash issues, and restores compatibility with Woodgood. There are no compatibility issues with old worlds: removed blocks simply turn into air, so worlds won’t be corrupted and players won’t crash. Still, we recommend making a backup of your world before updating.

• The mod is now going to be ported again to 1.21.1 erasing the current 1.21.1 version, then the mod is going to be ported in the last MC version

• Fixed the issue with tiles and ochre walls not connecting to each other
• Some changes on the pools blocks code to make the blocks easier to use
• Added ambiance sounds to the fountains blocks when they are activated
• Fixed the rotation issue with the tatamis. They can now pop off and they shouldnt leave a hole when a structure is generated with rotated tatamis
• Temporary fix on the maple tree rotation issue. It may not have solved the issue
• Some cullfaces fixed on the japanese railing
• The candlestick now properly rotate when placed in the world and no longer stay locked on the wall position
• Fixed the hitbox issue on the persian column
• Some file clean up to prepare the mod for the plant split

• The hitbox from the waxed_oak_table is now fixed (connected only)

The silk feature is patched !

• Fixed the bug causing some of the items in the dryer to not be displayed
• The dryer bounding box wasn't matching the shape of the block at all
• It was impossible to remove the last item from the drying tray
• Fixed the purple particles on the potted mulberry
• The cypress is now growing by itself (you no longer need to look for it in the biomes)
